Not always. Restaurants change cooking oils, and a list that isn't rechecked goes stale. We compared all 6,098 restaurants on Local Fats with Seed Oil Scout's 57,000+ diner reports and found restaurants listed as cooking with tallow or other traditional fats where recent reports, including staff answers and a written reply from one restaurant, show seed oils in use. Here are four, with the evidence and dates. Seed Oil Scout rates 44,000+ restaurants from diner reports that keep coming in, so ratings move when kitchens change.
